John R. Kearney, MD., FACS
In his personal life Dr. Kearney enjoys numerous endeavors. Time spent with his wife, Lynda, his six children and grandchildren are his most cherished. With them he likes to snow and water ski, hike, walk, boat, swim and ride horses. His interest include art, music, and travel.
In the community he has been a fund raiser for The Farano Center (first home for children born and abandoned with AIDS), St. Judes Children's Hospital, Albany Medical Center's Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Nathan Littauer Hospital Building Fund, the YMCA, WMHT Public TV and radio, the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland Building Fund, St. Mary's Hospital Foundation and numerous other local charities.
Dr. Kearney was the founding ski coach for the Gloversville High School ski team and coached soccer and baseball teams. He completed the Killington Ski School Instructors Course and enjoys teaching skiing.
