WHAT IS ECP ?
ECP, or Endo-Cyclo-Photo coagulation is
a Laser treatment that is applied to the tissue inside the eye that produces fluid. This decreases the amount of fluid and the pressure in the eye. It usually is done at the time of cataract surgery, but may be done on its own. ECP typically can reduce the need for one or more glaucoma drops or eliminate the need to add drops. Complications include a slightly longer recovery time for the cataract surgery.
Here at the Cataract Care Center, we are very happy to be able to offer our Patients the ECP treatment for glaucoma.
